Athletes

There are five athletes programmes offered within the context of the Olympic Solidarity and  will offer assistance to the Uganda Olympic Committee adapt to the level of the athletes and the type of competitions for which were are preparing. In an environment where the number of events and competitions is constantly increasing, programmes have been created in order to address new challenges during the upcoming events such as the Youth Olympic Games 2010 in Singapore and the Summer Olympic Games in London 2012. These new opportunities within the Athletes programmes aim to respond in a more specific way to the Uganda Olympic Committee’s needs by taking into consideration the various stages of the development of an athlete.

Uganda free from ebola
Director General of health services Dr. D. K. Lwamafa confirmed safety of the country and that there is currently no travel ban in any part of the country, including Kibaale district which was the epicenter of the outbreak.


 Crime rate continues to fall

Crime, traffic and Road Safety reports indicate a reduction in crime rate in the country. Police registered a 3.8 percent further reduction in crime rate in the country.
